Historic Charm, Timeless Value
The North Calvert Green townhomes are located adjacent to the Station North Arts and Entertainment District and within the Old Goucher College National Historic District. To enhance their historic character, the renovation of these attractive buildings will satisfy the requirements of the Baltimore City Commission for Historic and Architectural Preservation.
The building interiors will feature all new systems and modern, open floor plans. Gracious, nine foot ceiling heights will be maintained in the main living areas and bedrooms. The new front windows, a significant historic element, will have wooden sashes. In addition, the renovated buildings will be energy-efficient; they will have Energy Star appliances and fixtures and will satisfy the Enterprise Green Communities program requirements. Although features vary, the townhomes are designed to include a parking spot, outdoor deck, and attractively landscaped lot, where possible.
North Calvert Green is supported by funding from the federal Neighborhood Stabilization 2 Program. Qualifying borrowers are eligible for up to $6,000 in closing cost assistance. Income and other eligibility requirements are available upon request.
